Devany Browning, M.S. CCC-SLP

Pathways Owner/ Director; Speech Language Pathologist; Orofacial Myologist (MyoMethod training)

Devany received a Master Degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Utah in 2014. She has over 14 years experience in Special Education, including over 10 years as a licensed & certified Speech Language Pathologist. She has received training in PROMPT therapy, Social Thinking, and is a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Her areas of expertise include: Language Disorders, Social Skills, Articulation, Autism, & Literacy. She opened Pathways Speech in 2019, expanding to include reading services in 2025.

Devany also enjoys yoga and biking, as well as writing children’s books and poetry. She has enjoyed exploring many national and state parks in Utah since moving with her family to Heber City in 2018, including camping & hiking with her husband and two kids.

Rebeca Cruz, M.S. CF-SLP

Speech Language Pathology Fellow

Rebeca graduated in 2025 from the University of Utah with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. She is currently in her clinical fellowship year under the supervision of Devany Browning. She provides speech and language services in both English and Spanish, with native level skills in both. Outside of work, Rebeca enjoys playing piano, visiting Mexico, and spending quality time with friends and family. You can also be sure to catch her on the mountains skiing in the winter!

Jennifer Howell, B.S. Ed, SLCT

Life Skills Math Specialist, Reading/ Structured Literacy Specialist, Educational Consultant (IEP review)

Jennifer’s path toward becoming a Reading Specialist began as she learned to support her daughter, who has dyslexia, in navigating school. This experience inspired Jenn to pursue an additional degree in Special Education from Utah State University. She now has over six years of teaching experience in Reading Intervention, as well supporting children with focus and behavior challenges, cognitive disabilities, and specific learning difficulties through Special Education services.

She is trained in Structured Literacy and multisensory instructional approaches and holds certifications in Smarter Intervention and as a CERI Structured Literacy Classroom Teacher. She also supports students in math, particularly those whose learning disabilities make number sense or grade-level concepts difficult.

Jenn is passionate about helping students understand how their brains learn, build confidence and belonging, and experience meaningful success in reading, math, and throughout their academic journeys.

Vicki Hunsaker, M.S., CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist

Vicki holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Science and Disorders from East Carolina University and certification with American Speech-Language Hearing Association as a certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She has been providing speech and language services in schools, online teletherapy, private practice, non-profit organizations, assisted living centers and a hospital since 2011. She is passionate about communication as the means we use to form connections and friendships, and to express our needs, wants and emotions.

Vicki helps children and adults with deficits in speech, language, social language, autism, swallowing, voice and all things linguistic. Because she loves helping others, her work is a pleasure.

Vicki also enjoys spending time with family, reading, drawing and painting, participating in music groups, and skiing and hiking in the beautiful mountains and National Parks of Utah.
